Born and raised on the waters of the Gulf Coast, no one knows beach life better than Sherry Currow.
Her passion for people is what got her into real estate and her market savvy skills is what makes her a success on the real estate scene.
Currow hails from Pensacola, less than 100 miles away from where she resides today with her husband and two sons in the Destin Bay area. She has always been a beach girl at heart and knew she would never stray far from the Emerald Coast. She attended the University of West Florida where she earned her Master’s Degree in Psychology.
She has always made a career in helping others. Early in her profession she ran a program for runaways and arrested youth. It was that job that originally brought her to Destin and South Walton. Although she loved helping troubled teens and kids in need, it weighed heavy on her heart and after several years she felt it was time for a change in direction.
She is not one to sit behind a desk all day, and loves the feeling of helping people as well as forming long term relationships along the way. Someone suggested she try real estate in 2004 and she loved it from the start. Sherry launched her real estate career working with a boutique agency on 30-A.
Specializing primarily in residential real estate, Sherry focuses on luxury homes, land and vacation/investment properties from Destin to Rosemary Beach. She considers her job to be selling a ?lifestyle.? Her goal is to be upfront, honest, and to put the needs of her clients and customers first.
Sherry’s love of 30-A comes from the feeling of stepping back in time. The beautiful beaches, two lane roads, walking and bike paths make it a haven from the chaos of modern life.
Being able to get away from the congestion and traffic makes it feel like a hidden treasure where you can go to enjoy boutiques, amazing restaurants and appreciate the unique architecture of each community.
Her love of Destin comes from watching it develop from a small fishing village into the thriving community it is today. She used to walk Destin’s beaches when it wasn’t much more than a gas station, one hotel, and a few restaurants. After living in South Walton for over a decade, she and her family made the move back into Destin in 2015 where they continue to enjoy the lifestyle offered along our beautiful corridor.
“Vacation on the Beach and live on the Bay!” is her motto, and that’s exactly what she and her family do.
