Tonya Pippin grew up in Chipley, Florida, an hour north of the beaches of the Emerald Coast. Her favorite beaches in Northwest Florida have always been South Walton and 30A due to the planned communities, beautiful architecture, fine dining and art community.
Tonya graduated from Chipola College with an Associate of Arts in 1998 and the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science & Human Nutrition in 2000. After completing post-baccalaureate studies in Business and Computer Science, she joined Pippin Appraisal Services, Inc., a real estate appraisal company her husband founded in 1985. She wore many hats over those 14 years including Vice President, Office Manager, Trainee Appraiser and Research Analyst. After the passing of her husband in 2016, Tonya took time off to heal and travel. In 2018, she re-entered the workforce as the Executive Assistant to Erin Oden and Team Manager with a focus on Operations Management.
Tonya has spent her career serving on various boards and associations, including Chipola College Foundation, Washington County Planning Commission, Washington County Arts Council, Take Stock in Children and Junior Achievement just to name a few.
Tonya enjoys spending time with her family and friends, food and wine, volunteering, traveling, Florida Gator football, the beach and reading. After visiting many beaches in the world, she still thinks that the beaches of the Emerald Coast are the most beautiful.
