Seaside Location and Community Overview
Seaside is largely responsible for the finesse brought to town planning along Scenic Highway 30A and the Gulf of Mexico. Each street in Seaside converges on its own private and unique beach access point, and from west to east the beach pavilions are named after their associated streets. Seaside rests almost in the middle of the 30A corridor, approximately 16 miles east of Destin and 17 miles west of Panama City Beach in northwest Florida.

Like its neighboring community and successor Watercolor, the shaded path-like streets of Seaside are adorned with picket fences surrounding typical Florida cottage-style homes constructed with clapboard siding and metal roofs. Tower rooms often peek up above the rooflines to provide residents with an extended view of the Gulf.
